Gunrick does not properly appreciate the value of cool sounds. I love the equanimity and sincerity on Ranji’s face (in the last panel) as he explains his actions.

Before you’re allowed to threaten people with a trip to Sheol, you need to make a compelling case for your view of what that place actually is and what goes on there.You should make a comment about that!

Also, I enjoy Ranji’s steeled resolve as he reveals his vindication. I will undoubtedly work “and it DID” into conversations about expectation; I’ll say it with the inflection I imagine Ranji said it, but no one will understand that I am referencing something and all will assume I’m just really into fulfilled expectations.
